Trails & Parks
The scenic Crow Wing Trail winds through the Town and will guide you through the Wetlands pavilion area, which is located in the southwest corner of Hespeler Park. The Niverville Wetlands Project converted the Town’s old lagoon using bioremediation. This process is the use of either naturally occurring or deliberately introduced micro-organisms to breakdown pollutants to clean up the site.
There are several parks and playgrounds throughout Town, with Hespeler Park being the largest. This park includes baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a splash pad, bike skills track, a beach volleyball court and a brand-new playground and structure that represents the Town’s rich history. In Hespeler Park there is a picnic shelter available to rent for outdoor gatherings. There are two tot parks and two nature playgrounds throughout the Town as well. The largest playground is in the Fifth Avenue Estates development. It features a lake front pavilion.
